I started writing “Spotlights” about folks at my church, Parker United Methodist Church in Colorado. So far, those Spotlighted are all part of the senior ministry at our church and believe me, they should not be ignored. My belief that we are all surrounded by quiet greatness has proven to be correct. This site, for now, is dedicated to those folks I interview at random or who volunteer their time and story with me. The “interview” is always at a place where we can eat. Why not? These folks, in their mind, are just ordinary. But each has a most remarkable story. The theme, I am finding, is that with life’s struggles, there will ultimately be triumph. Although their past history is extraordinary, it is their courage and excitement about their future plans and hopes that should inspire us. They never stop living. They keep forging onward and upward!
